For some time now there is a new show on radio3 voor 12: Subbacultcha. Joris Gillet presents in this 3 hour show your weekly needed doses of alternative rock and indiepop. Live broadcasting every wednesday 13-16 uur.

Dubblecheck, the journalistic program of VPRO's Internet Broadcast station 3voor12, has a special this week (9-2) on cd-burners and the music industry. People from Free Record Shop and BMG are interviewed on this happening here. By the way, Buma Stemra estimated that sales of blanc cds will run into the multi-millions this year and they fear revenue. Whant to know everything about making your own cds and audio protection (like is investigated by the record-companies) then visit CD Freaks. As it looks now, there will no tax on the blanc discs for the next couple of months.
A thousand Internet users in San Diego (US) will get a glimpse this spring of what might be the future of the music industry. The five major record companies announced Monday (Feb. 8) that they will join with computer-industry giant IBM in trying out a new way of delivering full-length CDs to consumers via the Net. During the six-month trial, participants using high-speed cable modems will be able to pick from a selection of 2,000 albums and hundreds of singles through a prototype online music store.

VPRO's Radio3 program 'het lek' start their famous live stuff from Studio Amstel again in april bringing you every wednesday 2 bands or djs in the studio, but for those who cann't wait: half March will dEUS visit the studio for some songs...stay tuned into the show for more details soon.

Leidsekade Live just redesigned their site into a fancy flashy one. Meanwhile the live stuff also continues and they will bring you the next saturdays the following live recordings: Marilyn Manson, Mercury Rev and Red Snapper. Ofcourse there is still a lofi-version for all of you people without up-to-date hard/software.
